Live mesh is a platform which synchronizes your stuff across multiple computers (PC, Mac and Win Mobile - sorry those of you with the Jesus Phone).
So if, for example, you work in several places - like the office and home - you can set up a folder to go into your mesh and the stuff you work on in the office will show up immediately on the same folder at home or on your WinMob phone. If you don't install the Mesh client to your phone or additional computers, you can still get to your meshed stuff via livemesh.com. You can also share information with friends automatically
This is like Sugar Sync, but it works. I used sugar sync for about the last year. It worked for me about 50% of the time. Which is to say that a file I worked on in the office was available at home about half the time.
The future will see the opportunity to mesh to your car - which is cool for things like directions and mp3 files.
