I always assumed there would be a "google app store" of some sort. What I love about Android is that anyone can write a program for it. Lets hope major companies get the hint and don't exclude apps that aren't in their own stores.
That being said, I can totally imagine the execs at Verizon, etc having major fits at this very aspect of Android. The "walled Garden" concept is a antiqued idea and should be shot and buried.
