If that's the case, I couldn't comment, as I can't think of anyone I know that has a dumbphone, other than my one friend who has a Virgin Mobile phone.

They're forever asking me how on earth I can go 3-5 days between charges on my Nokia N73. I'd much rather have the interface of a dumbphone over any WM interface. I don't need to open excel spreadsheets and I don't use outlook... like most of the population out there. This will sell more as a dumbphone than it would a smartphone.

elgee02

Comments on LG Voyager unboxing

Why does that interface and whole front side of the phone look just sooo familiar... It's about being able to add programs to your phone. To customize it to meet your needs. I have added a media player (don't like Verizon's), podcatcher, and notes program to my Motorola Q9M. I've loaded my phone with a translation dictionaries and guidebooks and novels to read or listen to on vacations. I can download them for free from my local library's website and load them onto my Q, but they only work or Windows and Palm devices. Can't even use an iPhone or and iPod for this. I listen to the New York Times which is delivers straight to my phone every weekday morning. I downloaded a program on my last PocketPC that threaded my text messages so that they displayed like a chat similar to what the iPhone or the Treo does. I miss that program. I gotta find it for smartphones.

The point is once you go smart, you can never go back. And the Voyager form factor is better suited for a smartphone than any smartphone I've ever seen.

Lil_Sunshine

Comments on LG Voyager unboxing

to Lil_Sunshine
i had a HTC smartphone and i hated it
the windows on it was so sluggish it's really pissed me off
so i said goodbye to windows and smartphones!!!!

daniel s

Comments on LG Voyager unboxing

does it have wifi? can i sync it with iCal on my mac?

blizz

Comments on LG Voyager unboxing

Too bad the screen resolution is still not up to par with the iPhone...
