Just got my enV this past friday (march 28th) , went to the verizon store, cost me $100, with a $50 mail in rebate that i have to send, so in the end it will cost me $49. I LOOOOOVE the phone. i love the keyboard, although for the first 2 days i kept accidently double tapping the keyboard keys (just because i was so used to it with my old phone, motorolla e815. i looooove the quality of the pictures as well. another thing about the readout with texts, if u put it on speaker phone its easier to hear. i nearly peed my pants when i accidently hit the voice button while in speaker phone mode. i was like OMG ITS TALKING lol.
only problem im having at this point is that the lady at the verizon store said my memory card was compatible but i havent figured out how to get it to upload all my old stuff. was she lying or what?

not really i dont think.
i know that on the orange one it takes you to a menu that lists a lot of short cuts to things like music and stuff.
im guessing the e-mail one on the origional would take you directly to e-mail..?

I think the "email" button now brings you to "vcast" or "get it now" insted of email.

I liked the orange, so that I can find it in my purse!. I have been waiting for my new every two so I could get the env. I have been checking the website to see if the price went down, every few days. So, I got online at midnight the 15th and there it was in Orange, for $49 ($77.11 with tax,) Free overnight Fedex too! I get it monday.

$49 was the price with my new every two discount. I got this phone, for two reasons, One, to text my boss data facts while he is in meetings and to use to take pictures of my 3 month old granddaughter. I like the orange color, I can find it in my purse, I had a V710 and loved it, But wanted a qwerty keyboard.
The ENV button, pulls up a shortcut menu, with 10 options ( VCast Videos, VCast Music, TextMessage, Video Message, Picture Message, wireless sync, email, IM, Pacman, and Tetris. You have the options to 'reassign' the shortcuts, however, you can only 'rearrange' them but cannot truly reassign the shortcuts. If so I would put up my calendar, my pictures, my videos, etc. But I can't so that button is useless to me.
I haven't tried the bluetooth, or the Micro SD card Yet.

I managed to get one before it actually came out, and I got mine from the Verizon store, not online. There is one big difference between the orange one and the standard silver. The new orange EnV can use 4 gig miniSD cards, the silver one can't. The folks at Verizon were quick to suggest two 2 gig cards in my old phone, but that wasn't good enough for me, and I made them give me the Orange. My phone eats iPod nanos.

i got my orange enV a week ago and so far i'm very happy with it. my girlfriend has the silver one and 1. there was no way we were going to have the same phone 2. i like the orange and black combo, and 3. i didn't want another damn flip phone!
its pretty much the same phone as the silver, but i like the enV hotkey better than the email button. i wouldn't say the finish is "girly," in direct light, it has a brushed aluminum quality, but in certain low light scenarios, it may be mistaken for an off-pink. the color doesn't bother me personally because i'm a baltimore orioles fan and its a good way to show some team spirit :)
now that the phone is in stores, you can get it free online (pending that you're eligible for a $100 "New Every Two" upgrade) which is nice, but frustrating because i dropped the 49.99 for mine :/ the in-store price remains $149.99
overall, if you're contract is up and you're eligible, its definitely worth the $0 online price and is the best non-flip phone Verizon offers to date (the SLVR is just too little, too late) it's got a lot of nice features yet stills comes in a very small package. it's not an iPhone, but hey, it's free.

i'm definitely thinking about getting the orange enV... i was wondering how it compares to the new samsung that flips two ways and if it is actually that burnt orange or if it is more true orange.
the price jumped again - to $200 for getting it in store and new two year agreement. i think it's worth it - you?

I just got my new orange enV yesterday via the fedex guy, free with the new every 2 discount, so far I really like it, I went with the orange so it will be much harder for me to lose it. The speakers are quite loud when you have them turned up too which is most excellent.

I got the LG enV Orange for $49.99!!! I get it on tuesday I cant wait. I got a $100 discount cuz i was eligible for New every 2. I've been waiting all summer to get this.

for the person who asked about the samsung double flip phone....
i saw the samsung and thought it was SO cute! it seemed like a perfect phone for me, cuz i love to text. so i ordered it through the 611 verizon number, and got it for free because of the new every 2. i kinda bought it on a whim because i was so excited that it was free, and didnt really think it through.
after i bought it (silly me) i looked up reviews and stuff and it turned out to not be as good as i thought. the dual hinge isnt very sturdy, and the keyboard is really small and confusing. the numbers face one way and the letters face a different way, which makes typing numbers in the horizontal screen really difficult. also, not all the applications run on the regular flip phone, and you have to open it horizontally to run them.
all my previous phones have been lgs, and my boyfriend had the enV when it first came out. i loved it, and as soon as i held the samsung and messed around with it, i knew i had made a mistake ordering it.
i returned the samsung and got the enV instead, and i would highly reccomend the enV! its a better all around phone. the users and reviews say so!

I just got the new orange enV and i love it!!! But does anyone know how to get the phone to read text messages aloud. I read somehwre that it does that but am unsure how.

Yes the Lg enV will read text messages out loud it depends on the message, Look for a picture of a little head when u open the text message then just click on the space button "inside" the phone and it will read it out loud. This phone has so many features. Did you know that when your talking to someone you can record what they are saying....just press the clear button on the front of the phone to start recording. Does anyone know how to mute the keypad noise when on the phone and u want to text someone? I did turn off the keypad volume but it still beeps in my ear when I try to text while on the phone???

I kinda like the orange, the green is HIDEOUS!!!! they really should make a pink one or a purple one or a lime green one! or BRIGHT blue!
